Our featured guest speaker is Julie Van Hartingsveldt, Community Engagement Officer at the Durham Children’s Aid Foundation (DCAF). Julie will share how the Foundation works to empower vulnerable children and youth in Durham through programs such as:
- Holiday Hope: Providing seasonal support for children and families in care
- Dream, Dare, Do: Helping youth discover leadership and employment pathways
- Bursary & Backpack Program: Supplying education funding and essentials for students in need
DCAF supports over 3,000 children annually, focusing on equitable opportunities, community partnerships, and long-term well-being. Julie’s presentation will offer powerful insights into how we, as Rotarians, can help build a stronger future for youth in our region.
