We want to thank our Community Partners, Valiant Rental Properties Limited, Freshco Courtice, Preston Movers and the Rotary Club of Courtice for another successful "Stuff the Truck" event in support of St. Vincent de Paul Courtice Food Bank.

Tomorrow is the big day, our Halloween party for at risk youth in Clarington. We can't wait for our invited guests to arrive. Special thanks to Whitecliffe Retirement Residence, Courtice Rotarians: Marita Cometa, Judi MacDonald, Sharon Davidson, Marie Visser, Jim Treen and our members who have worked really hard on this event and special thanks to our event chair Courtney Scott. Lastly thanks to all of you that supported our Generals Game fundraiser so that we could fund this great event, the community support we have received is amazing and we are so proud to be able to give back to Clarington youth.

On Aug 24 we raised $941.66 with Swiss Chalet in Bowmanville to purchase school supplies for students in need at 6 Clarington Secondary Schools. Today we had the pleasure of delivering supplies to each school. Very proud of all the hard work we put in and grateful for the support of our community. Together we can and will create a brighter future!

Grab the $5 special-a Slice of Sourdough Pizza, Hancs Fries and a Pop THEN drop some change in our well so we can purchase water filtration systems for Adopt A Village in Laos.

Congratulations to Earl and Rosemary Newell who won our Basket Raffle. We are thrilled to have raised $1260 to be donated to Team (Teen Education and Mothering) Clarington.

Thank you to everyone who purchased tickets and we would like to thank Swiss Chalet in Bowmanville who allowed us to sell tickets in the store and for donating 100 free kids meals that we gave to ticket purchasers.

The Rotary Club of Bowmanville are holding their annual Christmas Tree Fundraiser at Watson's Farm Market now until December 23rd. Located at 2287 Highway 2 in Bowmanville they are open Monday to Friday 12-8 pm, Saturday 10 am - 6 pm and Sunday 10 am - 6 pm. They offer a wide variety of freshly cut trees to choose from including Balsam Fir, Fraser Fir, White Spruce, Serbian Spruce, Blue Spruce, and Scotch Pine. All proceeds from this fundraiser go toward local and international Rotary projects, community groups, organizations, student bursaries, and their Summer Respite Program for Children with Special Needs. Let's help this great club continue their great work in our community!

On Friday, October 16th, 2015, the Interact Club of Clarington in conjunction with the Oshawa Generals Hockey Club will present an Interact Cub of Clarington Appreciation Night starting at 7:35 PM at the General Motors Centre in Downtown Oshawa.
