Meeting Minutes – April 8, 2026

1. Fundraisers & Financials

• 🥍 Firewolves Lacrosse: The game resulted in a profit of $432.00.
• ⚾ Blue Jays: Games on April 12 and June 7 have made a profit so far, with more expected following bus fundraisers.
• 💰 Final Donations: Members are challenged to suggest organizations for a sizable donation to close out club accounts. Ideas include Bowmanville Hospital Foundation, Cancer Society, youth groups, Marigold Hospice, Self Care U, and Bethesda House.
• 🗳️ Action: Connor will issue a poll for the membership to vote on donation recipients.

2. Asset Distribution & Donations

• 🍔 BBQ & Tent: Motion passed to donate the club BBQ, 10x10 tent, and party supplies to Scott Dickson for the Self Care U program.
• 🏫 Podium & Flag: Suggested for donation to a local school.
• 🎁 Prizes & Items: Tupperware and other donated items may be sold to members, used as Bingo prizes, or auctioned online.
• 🧶 Afghans: To be donated to Marigold.
• 📚 Paraphernalia & History: Janice will check if the Clarington library archives want the banner; Evan Jones currently holds historical papers.

3. Club Legacy & Closure

• 🌟 Impact: Connor noted that $250,000.00 has been donated to the Rotary Foundation over the club's 25-year history.
• 🎊 Final Event: The closing get-together will be exclusive to members and select guests (Pauline and Gord).
