1. Celebrations

• Congratulations to Evan Linnell on winning the lucky draw!

2. Guest Presentation

• Jackie Vera from the Children’s Aid Foundation of Canada presented their mission: “Together, we have the strength to change lives.”
• They support over 1,500 children annually with food, shelter, transportation, kinship family care, and trauma-informed safety programs.
• They are not a government agency nor involved in investigations or child protection directly.
• They offer bursaries up to $5,000, mentorship programs for youth (13–21), and holiday sponsorship for over 800 children.
• Their flagship Holiday Hope Program will now allow families to choose their own gifts through a pop-up shop experience.
• In 2024: 420 holiday baskets were distributed and 33 post-secondary bursaries awarded.
• A photo with the presenter and club will be posted online.

3. Announcements

• Movie Night: November 19, 2025, 7:00 PM at Landmark Whitby – “Now You See Me.” Tickets are $20 with profits going to the Bowmanville Hospital Foundation. Theatre holds 166.
• Bulldog Pub: Now reopened. Dining area expanded. Doghouse holds 46 people. Menu changes pending.
• Card Bingo: Still scheduled for July 30 and August 27. Seven spots left for July 30.
• Blue Jays Game: 8 tickets remain. New driver this year: David.
• Bowmanville Hospital Foundation: Sent a warm thank-you letter to the club.
• Agenda and minutes now posted in the ClubRunner main navigation bar.
• Thanks to Kyle from The Fisherman Fish & Chips for hosting our meeting! Photo will be posted to Facebook.
