1. Announcements & Updates

• 🎉 Congratulations to Connor on winning the lucky draw – prize donated to “Their Opportunity”
• 🎬 Movie Night: Nov 17, 2025 in support of Bowmanville Hospital Foundation. 3 tickets left. Rotary Club of Courtice will donate $3,200–$3,500.
• 📷 Cheque presentation to happen at the theatre on the night of the event.
• 🗳️ Executive Nominations: Reminder to ask nominees before submitting names.
• ✈️ Bowmanville Cuba Trip: February 2027. Each participant will bring a suitcase of medical supplies. Contact Pauline Calvert for more info.
• 🎄 Bowmanville Multi-Cultural Christmas: December 19, 2025. Club declined request to support $2,000 donation.
• 🏕️ ShelterBox Jamaica: Connor will investigate costs; Port Perry Rotary donated $2,400.
• 🧂 Road Salt: Online sales application submitted. Awaiting approval.
• 🎉 Christmas Party: December 28 at Tribute Centre – Oshawa Generals vs. Peterborough Petes. Tickets $35 (members only at first).
• 🍖 Bowmanville RibFest: Confirmed for Rickard’s Arena in 2026.
• 📅 AGM for Presidents: November 24 at 6:00 PM. President Elect Training – February 7, 2026.
• 🌺 Remembrance Day Services: Well attended by the community in Bowmanville and Courtice.

2. Guest Speaker – Matthew Cronin, “Their Opportunity”

• Children's charity focused on community sport access, development, and volunteerism.
• Supports youth aged 5–18 with registration, equipment, and encouragement to give back.
• 65% of kids continue volunteering after participation.
• Over 85,000 youth served nationwide, 65% of program funding is in Durham Region.
• Focus on belonging, mental health, fitness, nutrition, and leadership.
• Active campaign: “Memories That Move” – raising $35,000 to help 100 youth.
• 2,000+ local applications currently pending support.
• Partners: Toronto Blue Jays, Canadian Girls Baseball, others.
