2. Fellowship & Fundraising – 6:35 PM

• Swear Jar contributions collected
• Paul won the 50/50 Draw

3. Dinner Service – 6:45 PM

4. Guest Speaker – 7:25 PM

Allison Edwards – SafeHope Home: Shared her journey from social work to Director of Operations. SHH provides safe housing and long-term recovery for survivors of sex trafficking. Durham Region had 123 cases in 2020, 60% involving minors. She told “Sarah’s” story of resilience and transformation. The SHH SafeHouse recently experienced a fire and needs relocation. Community donations have been generous, but support is still needed.

Marie presented Allison with a $500 cheque from the Courtice Club.

5. Club Updates – 7:55 PM

• Oshawa Generals: Alternate dates being reviewed
• Leonard Gift: Purchased
• Card Bingo: October Event
• Movie Night: Tickets and Sponsorships available

6. Call for Volunteers

• Bethesda House: Painting volunteers needed Saturday the 13th (afternoon) & Wednesday the 17th
• Duke of Cambridge BBQ: Volunteers needed September 16, 5:30–7:00 PM
• Terry Fox Run: Water station volunteers requested
• SmartServe: Required for Orono Fair participation
• Orono Fair: Tim Hicks performing, volunteers receive free admission
